Perish song pokemon11/8/2023 ![]() ![]() The move Rest will induce sleep for three consecutive turns healing your Pokemon.ĭisobedient Pokemon may sleep during battle. If you Pokemon masters Snore or Sleep Talk it will be able to attack during battle. That is, with the exception of Snore and Sleep Talk. Sleep: When a Pokemon is asleep it will not be able to attack any enemies. Although, upon switching in the previously affected Bad Poisoned Pokemon the counter (which tacks on 1/16 every turn) will be restarted, back to 1/16 for the first turn. In generations I and II, switching out a Pokemon that is actively affected by Bad Poison will alter its Bad Poison to Poison but in all following generations the bad poison will remain the same when switched out. So, after Bad Poison has been induced, the first turn the Pokemon will have its health points reduced by 1/16 of its original health points, the next turn 2/16, the turn after that, 3/16 and so on. Bad Poison works similar to Poison, but Bad Poison reduced the enemies health points by its max 1/16 health points and then climbs by 1/16 every turn. In generation five (V) a Pokemon is not affected by Poison outside of battle.īad Poison: Bad Posion is induced by Poison Fang, Toxic or Toxic Spikes (Toxic Spikes will only badly poison a Pokemon after it is used twice in a single battle). In generation four (IV) a Pokemon will not be affected by poison due to the DOT (Damage Over Time) through walking once the Pokemon’s health points hits one. When a poisoned Poison or Steel Pokemon is returned and then summoned again it will return back to its previous Poison or Steel type, but will still be affected by poison.Ī Poisoned Pokemon will take one damage for every four steps outside of battle. In that case, the Pokemon can then be poisoned. A Poison or Steel type Pokemon cannot be affected by Poison, unless it is first affected by a move such as Waterlog. Poison: A Pokemon affected by poison will lose 1/8 of it’s health every turn. In that case, the Pokemon’s speed is increased by 50%. An affected Pokemon will have it’s speed reduced by 25%, unless the Pokemon has the Quick Feet ability. Paralye: A paralyzed (PAR) Pokemon will be unable to attack 1/4 of the time. ![]() If an enemy Pokemon is frozen, using one of the listed moves will thaw the specific Pokemon out, but will also damage the Pokemon. Ice type Pokemon cannot by frozen, except by the move Tri-Attack Although, Pokemon that can utilize a fire type move can thaw themselves out by using one of these fire moves: Cross Flame, Flame Wheel, Sacred Fire, Flare Blitz and Boiling Water. Fire Pokemon and Pokemon carrying a Water Viel cannot, normally, be affected by Burn, but if the Pokemon is first affected by a move like Waterlog it is burned. Pokemon with the “Guts” ability will have their Attack Power raised by 1/2. Non-Volatile Status Ailmentsīurn: Burn (or BRN) reduces your attack power by 1/2 and cuts your maximum health points by 1/8 after every turn made by your burned Pokemon. There are three forms of Status ailments, including, firstly, non-volatile, the second is volatile, and the third lasts while a Pokémon is in battle. Perish Song is only available by Default, Level Up, or via Egg Move.Status ailments effect your Pokemon’s style of battle, in, usually, negative ways or effects. These moves enable Pokemon to escape trapping moves. Unfortunately this strategy is also easily countered as pivot moves like U-turn and Volt Switch see common usage in battles. Moves like Mean Look and Block and Abilities like Arena Trap will prevent Pokemon from switching out and force them to let Perish Song run its course. This also means that the Pokemon using the trapping move will also be affected by Perish Song. If you are planning to use Perish Song, you can use moves or Abilities that permanently trap Pokemon in the field. Pokemon that have heard Perish Song can avoid fainting by switching out. This move may seem very dangerous but is easily countered by simply switching out. Perish Song is a strange move that affects all Pokemon in the field, including the user, and starts a countdown where all Pokemon present when the move is used will faint in three turns. There are no Pokemon who learn this move by this method. Pokemon That Learn Perish Song By Default Gengar Any Pokmeon that hears this song faints in three turns, unless it switches out of battle. ![]()
